Stanton W. “Stan” Burch
Stanton W. “Stan” Burch, 71, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A 1971 graduate of City High School, Stanton honorably served four years in the U.S. Navy as a radioman aboard the USS Donald B. Beary. He later earned a degree in computer science from Chattanooga State and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, dedicating his career to computer programming from 1977 until his retirement in 2015. A man of Christian faith, Stanton cherished time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for nature, enjoying hiking, ATV riding, and traveling throughout all 50 states.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanton C. and Irene Burch; daughter, Beverly Burch; and sister, Mary Ragan.
Stan is survived by his son, Stanton T. Burch, and his wife Jordan; grandchildren, Stryker, Blade, and Delaynee Burch; sister, Carolyn Johnson; and his partner of 16 years, Debra Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Tommy Deifenderfer officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
