Lundberg had over 15 scholarship opportunities to play soccer but held out for the Air Force Academy. “The hardest part of this process was the waiting for the right opportunity”. stated Lundberg.

He acknowledges several mentors from the past including Coach Louis Thorpe, and Coach JD Kaiser. He would also like to thank coaches Chaz Jackson and Kwame Appiah. He also credits and thanks Bart Nason of USA Recruiting for helping him find the right fit and encouraging him to be patient.
