Dorothy Patton passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Dorothy was a native of Chattanooga, born on February 2, 1942. She retired from the Hamilton County Clerk's Office.

Dorothy was known for her love of junk food. She loved fried food and chocolate. When her children were young, she enjoyed playing games with them, especially card games such as Old Maid. She also enjoyed planting and growing her flowers in the summer.

Although Dorothy has left us, the little girl that was inside her will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edd Dennis and Leona Carter Dennis; husband, Larry W. Patton Sr.; daughter, Melanie Patton; son, Larry W. Patton II; sister, Ruby Sitton, brother-in-law, Don Patton and her parents-in-law, Carl and Novella Patton.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristy Patton (Tim Katafias); grandson, Seth Patton (Erin); great grandchildren, Novella Patton and Ezra Patton.

The family will have a private entombment.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
