Joyce Ann Lawson
Joyce Ann Lawson, 87, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, July 5, 2025.
She was born June 15, 1938, to the late Frances Fairbanks Jordan and Taylor Fairbanks. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Barney Crum Lawson, her brothers, Douglas, Roy, Howard, and William Fairbanks, and her son, Charles Kenneth Lawson.
She was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Hamilton County Schools as a special education bus driver.
Survivors include Kathy Lawson Barfield, Kevin (Lori) Lawson, Kelly (John) Lawson Williams, Donna Lawson, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. The family would like to thank Betty Trew, Lynette Pass, and Mindy Ford for their compassionate care during the past two years.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 7, from 5-8 p.m. at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 8, at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in Ooltewah Cemetery.
