Ardeena "Deena" Anders Livingstone passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 90.

A devoted mother, loving grandmother, and cherished sister, Deena spent her life putting the needs and happiness of her family before her own. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support touched all who knew her.

Born on March 13, 1935, to R.D. Anders and Eula Bell Anders in Asheville NC, Deena dedicated many years as a homemaker raising her three sons before she started 24 years of employment with the Clerk and Master’s Office at the Hamilton County Courthouse. She was a proud donor of many various local charities and lived a life rooted in kindness and generosity.

Known for her incredible home-cooked meals, Deena blended love, discipline, and understanding into every aspect of raising her family. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and valued, and her door was always open—especially to her beloved granddaughter, Brittany. Together, they shared a special bond, with shopping adventures being one of their favorite pastimes. She was a source of steady guidance, joy, and strength for those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Livingstone and her two brothers, Norman and David Anders.

She is survived by her sons Mike Livingstone, Patrick Livingstone, and Mark Livingstone; her sister, Nancy Anders Black; her granddaughter, Brittany Livingstone Henegar; and her nephews, Tommy and Jeffrey Anders of Asheville, NC and Joel Anders of Cambridge, MA.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Christine Jovel for providing Deena with tireless care, comfort, love and support.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Chattanooga Funeral Home - North Chapel from 4-8 p.m.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, a cause that Deena held close to her heart. Deena’s legacy of love, resilience, and selflessness will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
