With the current situation within Texas, the sudden “need” to redraw voting lines, in 2025 instead of 2030, concerns me greatly. It seems that the only realistic and “good faith” reasoning to redraw the district maps now, is because of the threat of the 2026 midterm elections, which tells me one thing: “If you can’t beat the system, change the rules” is the motto of the GOP. CHARLESTON, Tenn. -- For the second time in as many months, Walker Valley has a new head girls basketball head coach. After two-year head coach Paul Sausville resigned this spring, a search was made and veteran coach Todd Wright, with over 400 career victories was hired in late May. Tennessee football will open the season ranked No. 18 in the US LBM Preseason Coaches poll that was released Monday. The Volunteers are one of nine SEC teams ranked, and they will face three opponents in the preseason edition of the poll – No. 4 Georgia, No. 8 Alabama and No. 17 Florida.
