Cassandra Whitaker Joins Medical Staff At Parkridge East Hospital

Parkridge East Hospital, a facility of Parkridge Medical Center, is pleased to announce the addition of Cassandra Whitaker, M.D. to its medical staff.

Dr. Whitaker’s practice, Whitaker Women’s Care, specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology and opened the first week of January at 929 Spring Creek Road, Suite 202, in East Ridge.

Dr. Whitaker earned her medical degree from University of South Alabama College of Medicine and completed her residency at Walter Reed Army Center in Washington, D.C. She completed her undergraduate degree at Alabama A & M University and was an assistant biologist at Southern Research Institute in Birmingham, Ala.

Dr. Whitaker, also a Major in the U.S. Army, has served active duty and has been recognized for her service by receiving the Army Achievement Award and the Military Award of Meritorious Service.

Dr. Whitaker is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American Medical Association and National Medical Association.
Parkridge East Hospital provides a full range of services and specialty centers that include The Birth Place, the Sleep Well Center, and the Laparoscopic Center of Excellence. The Birth Place includes the 22-bassinet Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, an on-site Lactation Center, and labor and delivery suites. The hospital has also earned a reputation for its Women’s Center, with services for every stage of life including diagnostic services and specialty women’s surgeries.

Parkridge Medical Center, is a single provider with two off-site locations, Parkridge East, and Parkridge Valley. Located in Chattanooga and affiliated with HCA; they are part of the TriStar family of hospitals.
