David Joe Martin, 57, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in a local hospital.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, he was a member of East Ridge Methodist Church, formerly Ridgedale Methodist Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Martin worked in the engineering department with the city of Chattanooga, and later co-owned Indian Joe’s Antique Motorcycle Parts, a company founded by his father, Joe Martin. He was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America and enjoyed helping people restore old Harley and Indian motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe H. and Jessie Rose Martin.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Wyatt Martin; sisters, Jan Martin and Edyth Weathers; his good friends and cousins, Ray and Greg Slatton; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Samuel Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
