On Tuesday February 3rd at 9 am at Cleveland High School, the Navasky Foundation for Life and the cancer-fundraising band known as "One Less Tear" are set to deliver 102,500 CD's of the One Less Tear music project. The CD's were loaded onto a truck for shipment to Kaylee Marie Radzyminski in a joint effort with "Tunes 4 the Troops".
Tunes 4 the Troops was founded by 17-year-old High School senior, Kaylee Marie Radzyminski of Cleveland, TN.
"I saw her story on a national news program one evening just before Christmas, and it sounded like a really great project," said Chuck Navasky, founder of the One Less Tear project and two-time throat cancer survivor.
"I looked Tunes 4 the Troops up on the web to check it out. I was amazed to see how Kaylee Marie was doing this straight from the heart and it really touched me. I had my wife take a look at it, and within an hour I was on the phone seeing how we could help."
And help is exactly what Chuck Navasky and his One Less Tear Team are doing. The value of the donated CD's is over 1.5 million dollars!
The AMA (American Music Association) said this is the largest single music donation project by one group in the United States.
Kaylee Marie said "The One Less Tear, CD has been given as a gift to cancer patients all over the world. Now I will be able to send this wonderful, uplifting and inspirational CD to the Troops serving our Country, and we can lift their spirits and bring some great entertainment to them at the same time."
Tunes 4 the Troops has sent over 440,000 CD's and DVD's to our Troops serving overseas.
