Michael Todd Dean Sr., 46, of Cartersville, Ga., died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome, Ga.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of New Frontier Inc., Masonic Lodge #6, Cartersville School Board, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and The Gentlemen’s Community Club at TSU. He was employed by IBM Corporation where he was an I. T. Specialist Consultant.

Survivors are his loving companion, Ms. Del Marie Carter; two children, Mr. Michael Todd, Jr. and Ms. Bianca Marie Dean of Cartersville; one step-daughter, Ms. Lamesha Henderson of Marietta, Ga.; mother, Mrs. Liller Dean; father, Mr. Harrison (Joyce) Dean; siblings, Mrs. Anissa (Perry) Cooley, Mr. Keith (Cynthia) Knox of Cartersville, Mr. Tony (Rochelle) Knox of Rome, Mr. Courtney Dean and Mrs. Ansley (Keith) Burks; one step-sister, Ms. Stephanie Winters; two step-brothers, Mr. Davey (Angela) Winters and Mr. Neon Winters of Cartersville; uncles, Mr. Edward (Gloria) Dean, Jr. of Fayetteville, Ga. and Mr. Dennis Moore of Cartersville; aunts, Ms. Joanne Carson, Ms. Terri Moore, Mrs. Geneva (Don) Allison all of Cartersville and Mrs. Pam (James) Manuel of Atlanta; great-aunts, Ms. Julia Nesbitt of Marietta, Ga., Ms. Betty Moore and Ms. Janet Dean of Cartersville and Mrs. Josephine Porter of Rome, Ga.; god-parents, Mr. Ralph (Queen) Lowe and Ms. Barbara James; best friends,
Kevin “Buck” Rodgers and Mr. Lindsey “Rudy Mac” McDaniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Monday, November 7, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Jones Street, Cartersville, with Dr. Edward Rhodes and other ministers officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6 at the church from 6-8 p.m.
