Labbous, Inez Ganell DeAngelo

Inez Ganell DeAngelo Labbous, 89, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, February 25, 2012.  

She was born June 6, 1922, the second child of the late George and Minnie Couch DeAngelo of Moss Point, Ms. She had been a parishioner at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Fort Oglethorpe and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moss Point, Ms., for many years.  

She graduated from Erlanger School of Nursing in 1972 and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Salem Ellis Labbous, Sr.;  son, Salem Ellis Labbous, Jr.;  two brothers, Elwood and Roy DeAngelo;  two sisters-in-law, Grace DeAngelo and Jimmy Lou DeAngelo and granddaughter, Jackie Labbous. 

After the marriage to her childhood sweetheart came this union: children and grandchildren, Gloria L. Templin of Chattanooga,  and Tony, Jeff, Keith and Anthony; Johnny G. and Pat Labbous of Goodlettsville, Tn., andStephanie and Rachel; daughter-in-law, Barbara Niedermeyer of Nashville, and Jackie, Angie and John; stepdaughter, Stacey Hicks of Rome, Ga., and Hank, Grant and Ella; several great-grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be announced by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main Street, Moss Point, Ms. 39562, 228 475-2112.  

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Avalon Hospice for their loving care and compassion for Mrs. Labbous over the past few years.
