Bradley Coach And Teacher Charged With Inappropriate Relations With 4 Students

An assistant coach and teacher at Bradley Central High School has been charged with allegedly having inappropriate relationships with four students.

Richard Kyle Copeland is charged with four counts of solicitation of a minor for statutory rape by an authority figure, and three counts of solicitation of a minor for sexual exploitation of a minor.

Authorities said a female student came forward in early September concerning an alleged inappropriate relationship with the coach and teacher.

Copeland was suspended after that allegation.

Authorities said three other students came forward with similar charges.

Copeland, 33, of Candice Drive, was released on a $20,000 bond on Tuesday after he was booked at the Bradley County Jail.

He will be arraigned in Criminal Court on Jan. 6.
