Mozhey, Oleg (Tuscaloosa)

  • Saturday, August 17, 2013

Oleg Mozhey 41, formerly of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, died on January 2, 2013 in Moscow, Russia.

Oleg was a native of Minsk, Belarus where he served in the Belarusian army assisting the doctor in the army medical facility while studying at the Medical College.  Also, while living in Belarus, he was involved with missionary work at the HOPE Center and the Bethlehem Baptist Church with his dad.  Oleg became a United States Citizen in 2004.

While living in Tuscaloosa, Oleg attended and graduated with a Biology degree from the University of Alabama, worked in a dental lab assisting many dental offices in the area, and was a member of the Northport Baptist Church.  Oleg was currently living in Moscow where he was a dentist.  Oleg loved his work as a dentist and this work made him happy knowing that he was helping others in so many ways.

He also loved the United States, and even though he was living in Moscow at the time of his death his heart was here.  His passions in life were his son, dentistry, fishing, hunting, and traveling.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Mozhey.

Survivors include his son, Vadim Mozhey; father and stepmother, Leonid and Alina Mozhey; sister and brother-in-law, Maryia and Jason Cox; and nephew, Ryan Cox.

Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 3 p.m. at the Northport Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
