Vocalist Kelle Jolly and saxophonist Will Boyd were two of the reasons the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra’s recent Barking Legs show was such a rousing success, and they return for this KJO sponsored tribute to two of jazz’s greatest legends.
The utterly unique voice of Billie Holiday is iconic, and tenor saxophonist Lester Young–a titan known by most simply as Prez–was her greatest partner.
