Russell “Rusty” Ray Hyde, 52, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Hyde; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Bertha Hooker; paternal grandparents, Wilburn and Lena Hyde; aunt, Willena “Bookie” Hyde; and uncles, Jimmy Hooker and Jerry Garland.
He was a member of Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Dobson Hyde of Dalton; step-daughter and her husband, Leslie and Josh Grant of Rocky Face; son, Russell “Cody” Hyde of Tunnel Hill; mother, Claudell Martin and step-father, George Martin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Gerald Nicholson, Crystal and Russell Sluder,; brothers and sister-in-law, Scotty Martin, Duke Martin and Chris and Crystal Hyde, all of Dalton; step-grandchildren, Brayden, Bentley and Brantley; special niece and husband, Holly and Matt Stephens; and other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church on Friday, March 4 from 5-9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 5 from 12-2 p.m.
