Sick Of The Sudden Uproar Over Confederate Statues

  • Friday, September 8, 2017
I do not understand for the life of me why all of a sudden the statues that have been around for decades are now offensive to some people. How does a statue afflict them all of a sudden?

My relatives walked the Trail of Tears. Should we then remove all of the memorials of where Native Americans were killed or sent to live on reservations and remove those reservations because
they are offensive?

I say No. They, as wrong as they were at the time, are part of our history. I dare say that people of all colors have walked past statues or memorials that have no effect on them whatsoever because they never paid attention to them until this stupid ANTIFA uprising started and it is ridiculous for people to want to remove history.

There are scars from those eras, but those memorials are to remind us not to repeat history again.

I am sick of it.
