The Hamilton County Water and Wasterwater Treatment Authority announced that Eric Brooks, PE has been named chief engineer of the organization. The native Chattanoogan graduated from McCallie School and later from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2006.
Mr. Brooks began his career working in utility construction in North Carolina before returning to Chattanooga to work for the City of Chattanooga as manager of the city’s 1270 miles of sanitary sewer collection system. He is also a licensed grade II collection systems operator.

Patrick said, “Eric has a wealth of knowledge in the fields of civil and industrial engineering and utility construction, as well as project and utility management. This experience will serve him well as he begins his new position with the WWTA. We look forward to working with him.”
“It’s an honor for me to serve as chief engineer of the WWTA,” said Mr. Brooks. “The work they do provides a solid foundation for our county’s growth and I’m excited to join the team.”
In his leisure time, Eric enjoys sailing and spending as much time outside as possible with his wife and their two young sons.
