Rita Faye Hudgins
Rita Faye Hudgins, age 57, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, November 18, 2019 at her home with family and friends supporting each other with love and prayers.
Rita was born Nov. 29, 1961, the daughter of the late William Oscar Hayes, Jr, and survived by her mother Bertie Elivie Mulkey Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jimmy Hudgins.
Rita is survived by her husband, William “Frank” Franklin Hudgins, they celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on May 1, 2019; sons, William Lee Silvers, Brandon (Ashley) Lee Silvers, Josh (Heather) Franklin Hudgins; grandchildren, Jr. Silvers, Savannah Silvers, Lucas Silvers, Skylar Silvers, Precious Silvers, Braydon Smith, Drake Silvers, Kayden Silvers, Landon Silvers, Ashlon Silvers, Katie Hudgins, Jay Hudgins, Grayson Hudgins; brothers, Donnie ( Gail ) Hayes, Larry ( Rhonda ) Hayes, Johnny ( Teresa ) Hayes; mother-in-law, Odell Hudgins; brother-in-laws, Lee ( Betty ) Hudgins, Jimmy ( Phyllis ) Hudgins, Joey Hudgins, Adrienne Hudgins; aunts and uncles, Leroy and Debra Mulkey, Betty Mulkey, Mildred White; best friends, Audi and Gardenia Caldwell. Also, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Rita’s service will be held Friday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bobby Timms and Brother Bryan Patterson officiating.
Burial will take place at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Junior Silvers, Skylar Silvers, Joey Hudgins, Derrick Grissom , Levi Amos, Doug Timms, Drake Silvers and Zayn Stone serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 21, at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m.
