Longtime Maintenance Department Employee At DuPont Was Member Of White Oak Baptist

Charles Leonard Wilkey, 82, of Dayton, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. 

Leonard was born and raised in Dayton, Tennessee to the late Jesse Lee and Elizabeth Wilkey.  He worked for DuPont in the maintenance department for 34 years until retiring.  Leonard was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.  He enjoyed farming, horseback riding and gardening.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Elizabeth Wilkey; brothers Clarence Wilkey, Arnold Wilkey, Ray Lloyd, and Ralph Lloyd; sister Helen Giles; grandparents Cam and Ada Wilkey and Ed and Rachel Hood.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 64 years  Elizabeth “Faye” Wilkey; daughter Debbie (Rick) Gravett; son Wayne (Tami) Wilkey; grandchildren, Chasity (Chad) Elsea, Brad (Stephanie) Wilkey and Bridgett ( Jarrod) Roberts; great-grandchildren Isaac and Annalise Elsea, Emma Holloway, Kara, Zaylee and Iryan Wilkey and Kylan and Jessa Roberts; brother Emmett (Bernice) Wilkey; sisters Mildred Stinnett, Edith Revis and Wilma  (Joe) Dill;  several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 12 noon until 3 p.m. at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, Tn.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Wilkey and Pastor Eddie Suttles officiating.                               

Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery in Dayton, Tennessee
