Two new restaurants will be opening in Ooltewah.

Miguel Morales and Miguel DeJesus, who also have 1885 Grill in St. Elmo and The Feed at 201 Main St., are opening a second location of 1885 at 9469 Bradmore Lane.

The food was described as being a Southern coastal concept. A beer license was approved for the business at the city beer board meeting.

Mr. DeJesus told the board that the way their businesses prevents customers for buying drinks for their friends is that only one drink will be served per ID. Board Member Brooke King said she knows the kind of restaurants that the partners run and that this will be a good addition to the city.

Fulin’s Asian Cuisine at Cambridge Square at 6011 Chesterton Way, Ooltewah will also be a second location of the restaurant. The first is in Cleveland. It opened in June but until the beer license was applied for and approved on Thursday, no alcohol has been sold. There is an occupancy of 115 at the eatery.

Two more restaurants, both on Gunbarrel Road, received a license to sell beer on Thursday. Chipotle Mexican Grill, 2122 Gunbarrel Road, had a “friends and family opening” on Thursday. It opens for business on Friday. This is the 2,500th location of this restaurant that features quick service Mexican food. There will be a small selection of four to six bottled beers.

Your Pie Pizza, 1919 Gunbarrel Road, has been open since April 2018 serving pizza and paninis and it has six taps of beer. A new beer permit was applied for and approved because of an ownership change.

Ritmo Caliente Supermarket, 5813 Lee Highway, has been open five years. Maria A. Lopez took ownership in January and no beer sales have taken place since then. The business was approved for a beer license at the beer board meeting on Thursday.
