Loretta Pickett, 59, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at her residence in Roberta, Georgia.  

She was a 1977 graduate of Brainerd High School. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Pickett and long-time companion, Sidney Knolton, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Demetrius Underwood of Chattanooga; daughters, Shunda Pickett of Atlanta, GA and LaNesha Underwood of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Pickett of Chattanooga; brothers, Robert Pickett, Wilson Pickett, both of Atlanta, and Anthony Pickett of Chattanooga; sisters, Daisy Fleming, Barbara Kitchen, both of Chattanooga, and Angela Pickett of Atlanta; uncles, Harvey Robinson, Jr, of Cincinnati, OH and Ollie Pickett of Huntsville, AL; aunts, Berda Rice-Pickett of Chattanooga, Lela Walton-Pickett of Huntsville, and Edna Mitchell of Chicago, IL; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She will lie in state on Saturday, June 15, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Samuel Jackson as the eulogist.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
