Marilyn Spickard
Marilyn McLaurin Spickard, 68, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.
She was born in Auburn, Al., to the late Rayford and Willsie McLaurin. Marilyn was a graduate of Tyner High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and retired from the Hamilton County School System as a teacher after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jeff Spickard.
Survivors include her son, Matthew Spickard (Alex Moyers); sisters, Donna McLaurin (Jim Robert), Denise Fitzsimmons (Jim) and Michelle McCawley (Bradley).
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Hamilton County Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund, 3074 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
