Irene Louise Curtis, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, August 18, 2019 at her residence with her family at her side. 

Irene was born May 4, 1936 in Murray County, Ga., a daughter of the late Charlie and Minnie Jackson Parker.  She was also preceded in death by her sons, George Faith and Buster Faith; a brother, Raymond Parker; and a grandson, Dustin Jennings. 

Irene was retired from United Sample Company and was a member of South Dalton Baptist Church. Irene was a loving mother and grandmother and she always cherished the time she spent with her family. Irene was very feisty and was always concerned with the needs of others before hers.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sharon Faith; daughters and son-in-law, Sue and Tommy Manis and Mary Terry all of Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren, Daniel Burchfield, Dana Burchfield, David Burchfield, Denise and James Smith, Charles “Peanut” Faith, Chris Faith, Amanda and Darryl Dalton, Raymond Faith, Tommy and Terri Manis, Jasper and Kari Manis; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Brandon Smith, Hunter Jennings, Tyler Arnold, Elizabeth Newton, Hope Newton, Brady Dalton, Chasity Dalton, Morgan and D. J. Godfrey, Madison and Logan Smith, Alexis Goodson, Bryson Manis, Ali Manis, Makenzie Manis,Trent Manis and Peyton Manis; and great-great-grandchildren, Myles Manis, Haven Smith and Brylie Smith.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2.  Private graveside services will be held later.
