UTC Women 10th At Mason Rudolph Championships

  • Sunday, September 22, 2019
The Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team shot a final round 297 moving past Mercer into a 10th-place finish at the Mason Rudolph Championships at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The move up the leaderboard was paced by Esme Hamilton.

Hamilton carded her first career sub-par round with a 2-under par 70. It included four birdies and 12 pars against just two bogeys. That provides the English native to a number of career bests.

Her tie for 14th is her top finish as is the 2-over 54-hole total of 218.
She’s now just 9 over in her first six rounds of 2019-20, a 73.00 average.

Maddy McDanel and Rheagan Hall were in full support mode adding 74s to today’s total. Dorota Zalewska added 79, while Michaela Kulhankova posted the drop score of 80. Kirsty Beckwith shot 76 playing as an individual.

McDanel was second on the squad list with 221. Hall shot 226 for her 54 holes, while Beckwith ended at 230. Zalewska finished at 233 with Kulhankova registering 238.

Houston started the day in sixth, but a final round 284 propelled the Cougars to the win at 866. That was two better than host Vanderbilt and Clemson tied in second. Tunrada Piddon of UCF claimed medalist honors with 210 (-6).

Chattanooga is off until Oct. 4-6 traveling to coastal Virginia for the Princess Anne Invitational. Pairings and live stats will be available on the women’s golf schedule page on GoMocs.com when available.
