BlueCare Tennessee, the Medicaid managed care division of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, has selected Janice Maurizio to serve as vice president of behavioral health programs.
Ms. Maurizio will guide the strategic direction and growth of all behavioral health services and programs including behavioral health care management, utilization management and quality improvements.
Before joining BlueCare Tennessee, Ms. Maurizio served as senior vice president of clinical operations for Beacon Health Options, where she led campaigns to redesign and improve utilization management and the behavioral health care management program. She has worked for nearly 30 years in the health care industry, supporting patients and clients in the fields of behavioral health and social services.

Ms. Maurizio earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in social work from SUNY Albany. She is a licensed social worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
