Kenneth “Ken” Burnette, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Annie Mae Pilcher Burnette; sisters, Barbara Burnette and Connie Long; and brothers, David, Bobby and Coleman Burnette.

Mr. Burnette served eight years in the United States Navy, with four of those years being served with his brother David on the USS Cone from 1954-1958.

He also retired from Shaw Industries Transportation Department.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Juanita Wells Burnette of the residence; daughters, Kay Burnette of Dalton, Krista Burnette Hall of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, James Keith and Karen Burnette of Rocky Face; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Norma Jackson of Dalton, Betty and Robert Collins of Calhoun, Wanda and Steve Simpson of Illinois, Thera Kinney of Eton; sister-in-law, Rilla Burnett of Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law, Winfred and Dimple Burnette of Dalton, Nathan and Donna Burnette of Dalton, Clay Burnette of Columbia, SC.; grandchildren, Daylin Hall Ridley (Tyler), Peyton, Lily, Karly, and Lexi Burnette; great-grandchildren, Hadley Shook, Jackson, Cambree, and future baby Teagan Ridley. Nieces and nephews also survived.

The family has chosen to hold a private family service.
