Madge Esperanza Easley, age 85, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, with family at her bedside.

She was born Dec. 15, 1934 in Jamaica.

Madge was preceded by her husband, Elbert Julius Easley; and daughter, Lisa Yvette Alterbaum.

She was a member Bethel A. M. E. Church, The Women’s Community Club, and the Home and Garden Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Michelle A. Easley of Jacksonville, FL; two grandsons, Eric David (Elana) Duncanson, Jr. and Adam Christopher Duncanson; one granddaughter, Ariel (Tyler) Short; four great-grandchildren, Adam, Jr., Lilah, Carter, and Gabriel Duncanson; two sisters, Fay Hayden and Althea Clement; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. at the Chattanooga, National Cemetery with the Bishop Ruben Graham officiating.
