Emma Lucille Ellison, 91, born Sept. 22, 1929, left for her heavenly home October 24, 2020, after her battle with leukemia. Lucille was a graduate of Marion County High School and worked many years as a seamstress in Chattanooga. She was a longtime active member of White Oak Baptist Church in Trenton.

Lucille was an artist, sharing her love of sewing, embroidery and quilting with her family and friends. One of her favorite art designs was her beloved Redbirds.

Lucille and her husband, Sonny, attended many church singings with their host of friends through the years. She and Sonny enjoyed their many years together. Lucille’s smile and wisdom will always be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Lucille was predeceased by her husband, C. O. (Sonny) Ellison; parents, Hiram Buel and Lena Grayson Ridge; brothers, Paul Ridge, Claude Ridge and Harold Ridge; and a special nephew that she considered her son, Donnie Ellison and his wife, Jan Palmer Ellison.

Left to cherish her memory, are a special nephew that she considers her son, Lonnie (Freda) Ellison; sisters, Lela Holland and Leota (Charles) Dunlap; great nieces and nephews that she considers as her grandchildren, Holly (Shawn) Moore, Julie (Frank) Schwabe, Clinton (Amber) Ellison, Kara (Daniel) Silvers, Ginger (Jimmy) Mullins, Rebecca (Byron) Payne, Sarah (Joey) Hughes and John Henry Ellison. Lucille claimed 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many other loving in-laws, nieces and nephews that she loved. Lucille cherished her church family at White Oak Baptist Church and her special friend, Martha Payne Morgan.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Daniels officiating. Interment will be held in Paynes Chapel Cemetery, Flat Rock, Al.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from 1-2 p.m.
