Linda Bridges was born on September 27, 1949, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

 

She was a graduate of Howard High School and retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Johnny Bridges, Sr., and Mrs. Vennie Bridges; brother, Noel Bridges; sister, Julia Walker; grandson, Stephen Bridges.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her only child, Ronald Bridges, Nashville, TN; granddaughters, Vanessa Bridges, Chattanooga, Kenesha Hunt, Sikeston, MO; eight great-grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly; brother, Johnny Bridges, Jr.; sisters, Mary Crumpton, Gloria Green, Ethel Bridges, and Wanda Bridges, all of Chattanooga; five nieces; four nephews; a host of great-nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

 

She enjoyed long conversations on the phone with her niece, Sharon Walker; longtime friend, James Brown.

 

A public viewing will be held 9-10:30 a.m. on Dec. 12, at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
