Covenant Men's Tennis Falls At Centre, 7-2

DANVILLE, Ky. -- Logan Hull won two matches, but the Covenant men's tennis team fell on the road at Centre, 7-2, on Friday evening in non-conference action.

Covenant falls to 1-1 overall, while Centre goes to 2-0.

Hull won matches at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles spot to account for both of the Scots' points in the match. The senior was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Centre's Max Middleton at the top spot in singles play. In doubles, Hull and Paxton Haggerty defeated Arpit Rana and Danny Nelson by an 8-5 margin.

Covenant competed well in doubles play, but fell at the No.

2 and No. 3 flights by identical 8-4 scores.

Haggerty narrowly fell in the first set to Adam Slone, 7-5, before falling 6-1 in the second at No. 4. Cameron Cortman hung right with Ian Crowan at No. 5 but ultimately fell 6-3, 7-5.

Covenant will conclude the weekend with a trip to Crestview Hills, Ky., to face Thomas More on Saturday. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m.
