Cempa Community Care Adds Nurse Practitioner Amy Farlett

  • Tuesday, February 18, 2020
Cempa Community Care announces the addition of Amy Farlett, MSN, FNP-C, to its team of medical providers.

Ms. Farlett, who has resided in Chattanooga with her family since 2006, joined Cempa in January, after spending years actively working to promote better health outcomes in the area. She began her career as an obstetrics nurse at Erlanger Health System while simultaneously working to develop a community health outreach program in the Westside of Chattanooga.

After graduating with her masters of science in nursing degree from East Tennessee State University, Ms.
Farlett began a career as a nurse practitioner at CHI Memorial Community Health Clinic. With a background in providing care for the underserved within the Chattanooga community, this position with Cempa was a natural next step, officials said.

“I have a passion for narrowing health disparities in Chattanooga and increasing access to excellent and compassionate primary care,” Ms. Farlett says. “Overall health involves physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being — and that knowledge drives my work. Socioeconomic burdens can have an enormous impact on a person’s health, and it is my goal to provide culturally competent care that is sensitive to that.”

"As Cempa continues forward with its mission to provide primary care and infectious disease services to the Chattanooga community, Farlett is a much-appreciated addition to the team," officials said.

“Over the years, we’ve truly built a team of providers that cares deeply about the health challenges that Chattanoogans are facing,” says Shannon Stephenson, CEO of Cempa. “Amy’s personal mission and goals for providing compassionate care perfectly align with our own, and we are delighted to have her join us.”
