Woneda Levona Sloan, 90, of Signal Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Lone Oak Baptist Church. Woneda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Leon Sloan; son, Michael Francis Sloan; parents, Jessie Lester and Pearlia Francis Davis; and siblings, Moddie Davis, Arbrael Davis, Cleston Davis, Louise Davis Steiner, James Lester Davis, Johnny Marion Davis and David Crystal Davis.

Left behind to cherish her life are her children - son, Gary (Debby) Sloan and daughter, Joan Sloan; grandchildren, Lauren (Nick) Walker and Megan Sloan; and a great-grandson, Perry Oliver Walker.

A Celebration of Woneda’s life will be held graveside in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Friday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Woneda’s memory to Lone Oak Baptist Church, 338 Hall Road, Signal Mountain, Tn. 37377.
