Sunday's results from the United Championship Racing Alliance: Melvin Corum Memorial at Tazewell Speedway presented by Red Line Synthetic Oil produced not only a new points leader, yet also a new Rookie of the Year points head man. Alabama's Kasey Hall (# 38) ran second for most of the feature, but allowed Jason Trammell (a local hot-shoe) to get by him for what would be his second career UCRA victory.

Finishing second (after the post-race disqualification of Brian Smith of Kentucky) to Trammell, Hall garnered enough points to squeak past 2018 UCRA champion Jimmy Elliott to leave Tazewell the current high points man. In the Rookie of the Year points chase Sparta's Jeremy Holtzclaw did the same against Jason Cardwell of Knoxville.

The Dog & Company Racing Team (# 979) finished 10th overall Sunday night, whereas Cardwell fell to an 18th place nod. Soddy Daisy's Kenny Kizzar jumped to third in points behind Elliott. Kentucky's Zane Powell and Jeff Neubert are chasing the $1,000 rookie title that Blue Ridge's Seth Wimpey won last year.

Rounds 3 and 4 have turned into a UCRA 604/Crate "Alabama Double-Header" as Fort Payne Motor Speedway and Talladega Short Track will go back to back on Friday and Saturday night June 12 and 13 with Twin 40 lap, $2,000 to-Win races set to take place. A third track possible stop is in the works, but isn't available to be mentioned at press time.

Bonus sponsorship is also being worked out for any 604/Crate racer that wins multiple nights in Alabama. Visit UCRAracing.com for more information on the 2020 $20,000 championship season.
