Gregory “Greg” Board, age 71, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the family residence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jarrett Board, and his sister, Julia Notestine.

Greg was born in Spencer, W.V. and grew up in Hickory, N.C. where he graduated from Hickory High School. He graduated college from Christ for The Nations Institute in Dallas, Tx. with an Associate Degree. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany and Vietnam with the 181st Airborne. He was a very proud member of the North Cleveland Church of God and was a retired building contractor.

Survivors include his mother, Alberta Board, of Hickory, N.C.; sisters, Deborah Bryant of Greensboro, N.C., Kathy Brissenden of Arden, N.C., and Robin Board of Hickory, N.C.; along with one nephew and two nieces.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 4, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave Chapel.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held graveside Monday, June 8, at 2 p.m., at Historic Riverside Cemetery in Asheville, N.C.

Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
