The "Newport Nightmare" Jimmy Owens of Tennessee was victorious Tuesday night at Beaver Dam Raceway in Wisconsin as the World of Outlaws Late Model series tour invaded for a $10,000 to-Win enroute to Saturday's $50,000 to-Win event in Richmond.

Owens described his # 20 Ramirez Motorsports/Rocket "Pope Construction, Boomtest Well Service, Reece Monument, Red Line Oil" sponsored race car as "flawless" in Victory Lane Tuesday.

Taking over when leader Cade Dillard of Louisiana had a miscue on lap 11, Owens had a close call of his own, with a slowing race car on lap 27, that could've been disastrous for the Tennessean.

Racing icon Billy Moyer Sr, was second to Owens, followed by Dillard, recent Hell Tour Summer Nationals UMP series champion Brian Shirley and Florida's Kyle Bronson. Sixth finishing WoOLMS points leader Brandon Sheppard has already produced victory at CLS in 2020 in early July. Georgian Ashton Winger also has a $20,000 series victory under his belt heading into the three nights of action starting Thursday.

The three night racing weekend for the annual USA Nationals from Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin is available live on the internet on DIRTVision for subscribers.
