Griffith, Delores Kay (Cleveland)

Delores Kay Griffith, 84, of Cleveland, passed away on September 8, 2020 with her extended family of caregivers at Life Care Center of Cleveland around her. She was born on Dec. 10, 1936 and was raised by her grandmother, the late Alverti Holmes. She was a long-time faithful partner in ministry with her husband, Rev. Raymond Griffith, who got to heaven ahead of her 10 years ago. They served together for many years in small churches in our region. Delores loved singing in church and listening to southern gospel music, especially The McKameys. Delores also worked for Olan Mills Photo Processing Center for 25 plus years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Raymond Griffith; Uncle John and Aunt Laverne Wilds; and her daughter-in-law, Glenda Griffith

She leaves behind two sons to cherish her memory, Bill (Karen) Griffith, and Rick (Karen) Griffith, Sr. She was deeply loved by her grandchildren, Melinda (Jeff) Sisk, Ricky Griffith, Jr., Dawn Zerk, Elizabeth Griffith, Daniel (Amanda) Griffith and Whitney (Michael) Bales. She was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, Will Sisk, Hadley Sisk, Truett Sisk, Maddox Sisk, Bella Zerk, Isaac Zerk, Chloe Zerk, Greyson Griffith, Sloan Griffith, Xzavior Bales, Elijah Bales and Noah Bales. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will hold a graveside service at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Friends and family of Delores are invited to attend the graveside service. We ask all to wear facial covering and observe social distancing.
