Fred Lacey Williams, Sr.
Fred Lacey Williams, Sr., age 86, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 in a local health care facility.
He was the son of the late Calvin Williams and Dovie Raymond and was also preceded in death by his sons-in-law Garry Gilliland and Ronald Volbert.
He is survived by his children, Alma Gilliland, Janet Volbert, Shellie Sims and her husband Arnold “Tweety” Sims III, Joletta Williams and Fred Williams Jr.; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Friday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Ray Cheathem officiating. The interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Georgetown with Daryl Ellis, Fred Williams Jr., Steven Williams, Arnold “Tweety” Sims III, Austin Sims and Sam Gilliland serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 25, from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
