Walter “Walt” Epperson
Walter “Walt” Epperson, age 90, of Ringgold, Georgia and formerly of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mamie Turner Epperson; and two brothers, Clyde Epperson and Lamar Epperson.
He was a member of Ringgold Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ballew Epperson of the residence; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charme and Dwight Robarts of Ft. Worth, TX, Mona Brown of Marietta and Beth and Michael Caldwell of Ringgold; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Angie Epperson of Rome and Dirk and Letitia Epperson of Chatsworth; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and nieces.
The graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. with Dwight Robarts officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
