Barbara Ann “Tootsie” Rose, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. 
 
A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a member of the Bartlebaugh Baptist Church and was a retired cafeteria worker from Hunter Middle School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willie Mae Woody; husband, Gene Rose; daughter, Gina Rose; siblings, J.C., Jackie, Billy, Bobby and Virginia Woody.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Rose; grandchildren, Heath McDonald, Jamey (Pepper) Jones, Terisita Griffin, Tanya (David) Shelton, Cathy Jones and Tangela (Greg) Rose; ten great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Joe (Kelly Mae) Woody, Tommy (Mary) Woody and Betty Hart; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Don Ferguson officiating.
 
Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.

The family will receive friends from 4–7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
