William “Bill” Beavers, age 75, of Rocky Face, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Martha Beavers; sister, Mona McNew; and infant son, Joey Beavers.

He loved his family including his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a very giving person who cared for people. He was a mechanic, a truck driver, did construction and moved mobile homes. He loved Nascar racing. He attended Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church.

He is survived his loving wife of over 50 years, Xara Beavers; one daughter, Lisa Berry of Rocky Face; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Lisa Beavers of Rocky Face, Billy and Kristi Smith of Tunnel Hill and Chris and Amie Beavers of Rocky Face; sisters and brother-in-law, Wanda And Bobby Keys of Tunnel Hill and Diane Ward of Rocky Face; brother, Terry Beavers of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Kelly (Chris) Wooten, Katie (Brett) Wooten, Cody Bonafacious, Lauren Gribble, Dylan Jolly (Julia Barrett), Karissa Jones and Braylen Beavers; great grandchildren, Evelyn Wooten, Elysia Wooten, Drake Wooten, Aiden Wooten, Luke Jones and Lailah Rose; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. in the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tyson Griffin officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 18, from 5-8 p.m.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
