Kenneth Coppage
Kenneth David Coppage, 93, of Jasper, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth was born on January 6, 1928, to Clyde and Myrtle Coppage. Kenneth was an ironworker and retired supervisor with Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Kenneth was an avid Kentucky fan, loved to play golf, and tinkering in the barn. He was an active Gideon. He served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon at First Baptist Church of South Pittsburg, Tn where he was a long-time member. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite. He volunteered over two thousand hours with BVI at Raccoon Mountain over several years.
Kenneth served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army. He loved his family and spending time with them.
He is preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Myrtle Coppage; two baby sons, Joseph Clyde Coppage and Kenneth David Coppage, Jr.; brother, George Clyde Coppage, Jr.; and sisters, Wanda Coppage Schrecker and Christine Coppage Fentress.
Kenneth leaves his memories to his wife of seventy-one years, Fay McIntosh Coppage; sons, Kevin (Laura) Coppage and Jeff (Cindy) Coppage; daughter, Melody Beavers; sister, Janice Coppage Huerta; five grandchildren, Tyler (Abby) Coppage; Austin (Abby) Coppage; Jessie Coppage, Elijah (Ebony) Coppage, and Lindsey Beavers; four great grandchildren, Jonah Coppage, Abrahm Coppage, Gillam Coppage, and Lenora Coppage; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Kenneth will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, at 12 p.m. CST at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, with Brother Brad Bridgeman officiating.
Pallbearers are Elijah Coppage, Austin Coppage, Tyler Coppage, Kevin Coppage, Jeff Coppage and Mark Huerta.
