James Carter, chaplain John Sevier Chapter, TNSSAR, is presented the SAR’s Chapter Distinguish Service Medal by Cliff Kent (Awards chairman, left) and George Ison (outgoing president, right). The CDSM is the highest SAR award that a Chapter president can present to a member for their continued outstanding service to the chapter and the SAR for numerous years of service.

The John Sevier Chapter of the Tennessee Society Sons of the American Revolution installed its new chapter officers for the service term of 2021 to 2023 during the chapter’s quarterly dinner meeting held at O’Charley’s Restaurant in Hixson on Thursday evening.
