Randolph Bass
Randolph “Ran” Bass, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021, in the Hospice Care Center.
He was a 1967 graduate of Howard High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Randolph retired from Roto Rooter after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Brownlow-Sanders; father, Thomas Bass; stepmother, Barbara Jean Bass; father-in-law, Paul Leon Haden, Sr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Lisa Bass; daughters, Tiffaney Collier of Chattanooga and Marneshia Bass of Atlanta, GA; stepchildren, Alisha Anderson of Atlanta, Quinneshia Patterson, and Marqita Hambrick, both of Chattanooga; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three god-children, Alonzashia Satterwhite, LaShonda (Roy) Upshaw, and Alonte Bush, all of Chattanooga; three sisters, Mary B. Parks, Connie B. (Ronald) Colvin, both of Chattanooga, and Shelia B. Gipson of South Haven, MI; two brothers, Thomas W. (Levena) Bass and Kenneth Bass, both of Chattanooga; four aunts, Noel Brownlow-Dodds, Kay Brownlow, Mary Hayden, and Della Kellogg, all of Chattanooga; one uncle, Napoleon Brownlow of Elk Grove, CA; mother-in-law, Gloria Haden; brothers-in-law, Tracey Haden and Paul Haden, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Jones, Tanika Haden, and Elaine Jenkins; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Randolph will lie in state on Thursday, April 8, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Family services will be on Friday, April 9, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel with Elder Keith Jones as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
