Bobbie Gean (Roach) (Williams) Chastain
Bobbie Gean (Roach) (Williams) Chastain, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Roach and Edna Roach Jones; brother, Jerry Roach; niece, Catilyn Cochran; in-laws, Arvil and Thelma Chastain; and son-in-law, David “Alan” Earl Brooks, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 42 years, William “Sidney” Chastain; son, Randy Williams of Dalton; two step-daughters, Sabrina (Jamie) Pepper and Regina (Jeff) Harris, both of Ringgold; grandchildren, Dillon Williams, Brandy (Victor) Montalvo, both of Dalton and Bridgette Pepper of Washington, D.C.; great-grandson, Asrie Montalvo of Dalton; sisters, Dovie (Ken) Williams of Dalton, Doris (Chester) Talley of Tunnel Hill and Judy (Rusty) Cochran of Adairsville; brothers, Larry Roach of Tunnel Hill and Roger (Lisa) Roach of Varnell; and many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie enjoyed her puzzle books, working in her flower garden and shopping. She loved her pets, Dolly and Andy. She worked at Tappin Machinery for 15 years. She worked hard to achieve her GED and then graduated as a professional hairdresser at age 40. She worked and owned her own beauty salon, Bobbie’s Style and Tan in Dalton until she retired.
The family would like to acknowledge Hearth Hospice of Fort Oglethorpe for the compassionate care and support given to Bobbie and the family during her illness. They also wish to express appreciation to family, friends, neighbors who came by to visit, call, brought food, and for their prayers and support.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 7, at noon at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Brother Mike Gurganus officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6, from 5-9 p.m.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
