Terry Douglas
Elder Terry Douglas, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in a local hospital.
Elder Terry Douglas was a man of great faith, a willing vessel, and a man after God’s own heart. He was a former member of 20 years at McDowell Memorial Church of God in Christ and later became a faithful member of Greater Commission Church of God in Christ for the past seven years.
Elder Terry Douglas was preceded in death by his mother; Missionary Pansey E. Douglas; wife, Missionary Sabrina A. Douglas; nephew, Sheikh Teejan Faye Jr.; aunts; Shirley R. Johnson and Elizabeth (Reuben) Jones.
Cherishing his memories include his father, Elder Curtis H. Douglas; daughter, Saneesha Douglas; devoted son, Trammell Hymes; sister, Yolanda R. Taylor; mother-in-law, Countess McClellan Ramseur; sister-in-laws, Natalie (John) McClarty, Lydia M. Scott, and Phyllis Scott (Kerry) Heard; niece, Amaranta (Chris) Williams; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Friday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Greater Community Church of Chattanooga with the family service to follow at 12 p.m. with Superintendent J. Anthony Taylor, II officiating and Elder Frankie Bates as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
