Rebecca A. “Becky” Breeden, 71, a resident of Benton, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2021, at a local hospital.

She was born in Clinton, Ok. on Oct. 11, 1949, to the late Robert David and Joyce Smith Allison.  Throughout life, Becky and her family owned and operated Bud ‘N’ Stem Florist until the mid-1980s.  She then became a compassionate and dedicated banker with then Benton Banking Company and enjoyed a successful career of 25 years, retiring in 2010 as assistant vice president with First Volunteer Bank.  Becky was a member of Financial Women International (FWI) and served as president of the local chapter.  A member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church, she enjoyed spending time with all her friends and family.  The most enjoyable things life offered Ms. Becky would be the love for traveling and enjoying the many sights the earth has to offer, and singing.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis “Scotty” Breeden, Jr.; and infant son, Robert Jeremy Breeden.

Left to cherish her memory include her beloved daughters, Michele (Jerry) Partap and Jennifer Peterson; grandson, Dylan Peterson; siblings, Debbie Allen and Terrie (Rick) Parker; nephews, Matt (Sally) Allen and Mike Allen; plus many friends and extended family.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 30 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Reverend Dave Whaley officiating.  Interment will follow at Greasy Creek Cemetery with Dylan Peterson, Jerry Partap, Clifford Wilcox, Rick Parker, Bobby Collins, Chris Wilcox, Aaron Hood, and Jase Parsons serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 29 and from 9:30-10 a.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted to Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
