Lorenz, William "David" (Cleveland)

William "David" Lorenz, 68, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday evening, August 19, 2021 in a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was the son of the late C. W. ‘Bill’ Lorenz and Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Lorenz. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Suzanne ‘Susie’ Llewellyn, Kathreen ‘Kathie’ Smith, Mary Lorenz Vines and his brothers-in-law, Henry ‘Hank’ Smith and Richard ‘Coach’ Shaw.

David was a fan of all types of sports especially football and golf. He loved going to the beach and sunbathing and listening to music. Most important and number one in David’s life was his family whom he loved with all his heart.

He is survived by three daughters, Deitz Sparkman-Lorenz of Hermitage, TN, Daryl Barcelona of California, Troy Sparkman of Hermitage; his best friend and mother of his children, Sloan Sparkman of Hermitage; sisters, Barbara Shaw of Knoxville, Robbin Oughtred of Cleveland; brothers-in-law, Carl Llewellyn and Hudson ‘Jud’ Vines both of Cleveland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
