Joshua Carl-Haynes Lester, 34, of Dalton, Georgia, went home to be with his Heavenly Father and Papa Buck on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Carl Lester; grandfathers, Haynes Masters and Fred L. Lester; uncle, Scott Lester; and aunt, Mary Dozier.

Memphis, Joshua’s son, will continue to bless his family’s lives as they see the legacy of Joshua’s beautiful, compassionate and loving spirit living through him as he grows each day. Also surviving are Joshua’s mother, Nancy Masters of Dalton; grandmother, Sara Ann Masters of Dalton; grandparents, Joe and Carol Turner of Murfreesboro, TN; aunt, Sally Yarbrough of Port St. Lucie, FL; cousin, William Yarbrough; special family friend, Pam Snowden of Dalton; and many other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, in the Chapel of First Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends in the Atrium of the church from 12 p.m. until the time of service.
