Icey Pauline “Pat” Millirons Hoffman Byers, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, peacefully passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Garden Plaza.

One of her greatest achievements was obtaining a nursing degree in Detroit, Mi. where she met our father and her husband, Dr. Glen Byers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland, Tn. She was an avid tennis player and a long-standing member of the Cleveland Country Club. She loved to travel and her favorite pastime was playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hallie Millirons; her sister, Marie Millirons Black; her brother, John Millirons; her husband, Dr. Glen M. Byers of Cleveland, Tn.; and first husband, Dr. Roy Hoffman of Detroit, Mi.

Pat was one of eight siblings and was survived by Linda Bernard, Kay Fulford, Jack Millirons, Alwayna Hixson and Charles Millirons. She had four children and one daughter-in-law, and three sons-in-law. She is survived by Tammy Hoffman Byers Milligan and Dr. Les Milligan, Kim Byers Brett-Ley and Kenneth Ley, Kevin Scott Byers and Robin Byers, and Pamela Byers Williams and Chad Williams.

Pat was known as “Mamaw” to 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. Central where she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Paran United Methodist Church in Cookeville, Tn. The playing of the bagpipes will conclude the service.
