Sherman Wilson Fox, age 65, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Mr. Fox was born in Knoxville, TN, on March 22, 1957, the son of the late Henry Fox and Wilma Paul Fox. He graduated from East Ridge High School in 1975 and in 1978 graduated from ORAU-T&T. Mr. Fox retired from TVA after 25 years of service and later worked 10 more years as a contractor for TVA.  He was a member of Chattanooga Elks Lodge No. 91 and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Fox loved his family and was always excited to attend the Family Reunion in Clinton, TN. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, going to the beach, and history.

Sherman’s favorite sayings: God bless you all, I love you so. Being kind to others is the greatest thing a person can do. A kind word or action is never forgotten. It is all about love, isn’t it!

Survivors include the love of his life, Vicky E. Fox, to whom he was married on December 31, 2000; a nephew, to whom he loved as a son, Chad Collins; a special cousin, Kim Fraker, whom he loved as a sister; and a special cousin, Edward Hall, whom he loved like a brother; and his beloved dog, Lilly.

A Celebration of Life will be held later.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of your choice.
